For mindSHIFT, an IT outsourcing and cloud services provider, this meant working with LookThink for a complete visual refresh of their online brand to reach their target market more effectively.
Based on positioning research completed by the Walker Group, LookThink developed a unified strategy to align messaging and visual design. We worked with mindSHIFT’s COO as well as executives from the sales and marketing teams to gain a complete understanding of mindSHIFT’s core business and brand objectives.
We completely restructured the mindSHIFT website to better engage executives with robust IT backgrounds as well as execs with less technical knowledge and experience. Visually, we updated mindSHIFT’s brand image to reflect a clean, contemporary, and approachable feel punctuated by colorful and engaging visuals.
LookThink also extended the new brand image across mindSHIFT’s sales and marketing materials, including a brand new corporate overview brochure, sales sheets, PowerPoint presentations, and print materials.
The website and brand refresh immediately helped sales and marketing and even attracted investors. In November 2011, Best Buy acquired mindSHIFT for $167 million (15x EBITDA). mindSHIFT believes the rebranding work led directly to the sale. We hate to brag, so we will let them do it.
